One of the BEST things about being an Artist is COMMUNITY. Let’s face it, the life of a Creative can be, well, isolating. I am a big fan of reaching out to other artists in your area and on social media. Another good way to create your circle is to take classes and workshops. As informal or formal as you want. You will be with people that love the things that you do. It gives an opportunity, not only, to learn but to share!

A word on “sharing” or “passing it on”. I love to share with my friends. In this case, I am talking about sharing what I know with my artist friends and students. I think we All learn by sharing what we know. It isn’t limited to our skills and experience. It is sharing our fears and challenges, not being afraid to ask for help or give it. The Artist Community is a close knit one and, I hope I can speak for all Artists, we love to share and grow our circle.
